ACU Santa Suit is completed and the suit was worn at Christmas time when Santa made a visit to a VA Hospital, USO and unit events such as Christmas parties, deployments, and homecomings. Santa-America plans to work with the Fisher Houses in the future and this suit will be used at that time also.
It was very well received by all of the troops and their families this past Christmas. Please let me know if any of you know of other events and organizations that honor our military (past and present) where our volunteer Santa’s can be of service.
Santa-America is a 501 C-3 international organization of volunteer Santa’s working with hospices, autistic children, and military recovering wounded. Please visit our website www.santa-america.org and call me with any questions.
A special thanks to Mr. Bill Summers, President of Sales for Diversitex, Inc. located in Fairfield, NJ for the contribution of his company's ACU material for this suit. Diversitex produces the material for the various mills that manufacture the completed uniform.
Additionally, I would like to thank Ms. Donna Conrad of Rock Hill, SC for the fine job of tailoring she did in sewing this suit. Donna has made a number of Santa and Mrs. Claus clothes as well as designing and making theatrical costumes for a number of college drama departments, little theaters, and civic organizations.
Mrs. Claus and I want to wish all of you a happy and prosperous 2010, and remember...SANTA IS WATCHING........ SO BE GOOD!
With LOVE, HOPE and JOY
